Miss Ruth Turay is a champion swimmer and the recipient of the JVJ Athletics Scholarship in 2015/16. She earned three medals on December 28, 2015 for 1st position is the 50m Backstroke for senior females; 2nd position in 50m Freestyle for senior female, and 3rd position in 50m Breaststroke for senior female. Miss Turay is an academically strong Liberal Arts and Science student who placed 12th out of 42 students to enter SSS4.
Ruth successfully completed her last year in high school (SSS4) at the end of the academic year in 2016. She enrolled at Fourah Bay College to pursue a degree in Social Work which she completed in 2021. Ruth Turay is a member of the Sierra Leone National Swimming, Diving, and Water Polo Association.
